So the Wang has been juggling the busy wang-schedule between mad games and sleep. With the new found love of the PSP, the Wang has been able to catch up on TV shows that the wang has Tivo-ed but not watched. So being a crappy video game system the PSP makes up by playing MPEG4 with little power and having a really sharp screen.

Though the Wang like to add that the Wang doesn’t actually have a Tivo, but saying “I replayTV-ed the O.C." is just a little long winded. Thus, the official word for DVR-ing something should be known as “Tivo-ed" or “DVR-ed."

So the current Wang-format has been a few days of blogging reading before an actual Wang post. Thus unlike the golden days of old, the Wang cannot his load of links daily, rather, the Wang builds up a fat load of knowledge before blessing it upon u, the gentle folks.

So we start with 3-4 day old stuff, so if u seen this stuff before, pretend it’s the first time, and ask the classic line from Tank Girl: Tank Girl: You gotta think about it like the first time you got laid. You gotta go: "Daddy, are you sure this is right?" On that note, we start with the dead…

A cool looking video Stubbs the Zombie, where it seems, u play a zombie and go eat ppl. Comical gags include throwing ur body parts as weapons and scaring the humans. Here’s a trailer. This is old, but trust me this game looks funny. And any zombie Apocalypse fans should always get a chance to play a massacre from the undead prospective.

A direct to DVD futurama movie.

Lord of the Ring: The Musical

The Japanese are freaky and have a love for robots. So what does that get us? A very life-like female android. I think this is what u get when u worship Asmov, Transor-Z, and bukakke.

LAist brings us the most important event of this summer, Dine Out LA. Good friends form the north has always taunted me about how the bay area has a Dine Out program where famous restaurant would server a set of 5 course meals for relatively cheap price. All the famous restaurants in town would hold these 5 course menus for lunch at $20 and dinner for $35. This give anyone a good chance to sample some restaurants that no one would ever go in their right mind. LAist also quotes for us the Los Angeles magazine’s best of LA food section for 2005. incase u don’t want to try simpler things like the Best Lemonade in LA.

Thunder Cat outtakes

Family guy Take on A-ha video.

World of Wonder gives us the cool caption contest to this picture:

Some weird cool device called a Beatbox that probably will go right next to ur Powerbook and creature speakers.

Something odd, something nasty, something cool, something weird, and something Hawt.

Speakign of hawt, Fiery Furnace + Roller coaster

Sharp just made a new LCD monitor that shows two separate views depanding on the angle. So two viewers can watch different things from the same LCD, if they sit at different angles. Here’s a page link with a video.

Since u probably cant read Japanese, trust the wang, when the wang says this will be like the Japense Harry Potter: Yokai Daisenso. A movie about a young boys battle to retriel his lost Yokia, monster thingy from other monster thingys. Ok maybe it will be more Pokeman, and less Potter. But can kids these days really tell the difference? Oh and did I mention it is directed by Miike?

A pregnancy video that gets too symbolic with its talking animated body parts.

4 words: Rick Santorum Daily Show = link

Kevin Spacey and Park Posey on the set of Superman:Returns

Shanghaist gives us the “fourteen choice ways to die in Shanghai" map

Haven’t seen a Webzen update in awhile, but here is their latest stuff, from a friendly Boingboing reminder, Webzen: Pixel Art.

An LA time commentary to Hillary Clinton for the research purposed by her in the wake of the GTA: San Andreas sex hack.

Crime statistics are not the only sign that today's gaming generation is doing much better than the generation raised during the last cultural panic — over rock 'n' roll. Math SAT scores have never been higher; verbal scores have been climbing steadily for the last five years; nearly every indicator in the Department of Education study known as the Nation's Report Card is higher now than when the study was implemented in 1971.

The entire GTA:SA Hot Coffee thing has stir up more for the violence of video games in the last decade. The Wang is quite angry that the government keeps missing the point on these things. Here’s some Koatku coverage, some Joystiq, some BoingBoing coverage, and some coverage from some of them more serious sites…

The Onion gives a photo gallery of video game commentaries

WTF?!

Well the Wang is going to return back to his lair and hope u all had a good hump day. Remember the week is half over, its all down hill form here!

Happy Birthday Franka! And watch out for Karl Urban!

Pet the little bunny, a cool flash thingy.

Two Top 10 list of Best use of color & light from Scorsese. One is for English films and one is for international. The Wang always did have a soft spot for Wang Kar Wai’s In the Mood for Love. Though I don’t think I’ve seen enough of the films on the English Language list.

I thought in a big of Irony, both Avril Lavigne and Liz Phair will be in LA on Aug. 11-12. Avril getting the more famous Greek Theatre, while Liz has a sold-out 3 day event at the Troubadour. The Irony is that these two should never meet, if they do, the world will implode in a artist based one each other, then a endless loop of being the “poor man’s version of…" Since Avril was spawned by Alanis Morissette, whom was in turned spawned by Liz, whom is now following in the foot step of Avril… which will just cycle into an world-impolding mind loop. So far Alanis doesn’t have any dates in LA near that time, otherwise the world would end in a tragic spoon accident. (NOTE the Angst Grrl loop was coined by Mr. Starfizzy)

">Engadget captions contests the largest LAN party.

A nice article about genders and video games from 1Up. To help us dig deeper into that big question of where is my hawt video gaming wife?

CNet gives us the top 10 Web fads They mention things like The Star War kid, All your bases belong to us, and Hot or Not. Also they give nods to the 2 grandfather of inet social networking, Blogger and Friendster.

Windows Vista dumbest name ever. What was wrong with Longhorn? Offical MS site for boring offfcial stuff.

Go vader! Bust out ur classic line:
"Your soft, not like the sand…"
"I love u because u r beautiful…"
"Are you an Angel?"
"NOOOooooooooo!"

Get a little Portman on Friday, check out the V for Vendetta trailer.

Japanese ppl are weird… Fiberglass carvings panties.

and this:

Hump Day

Bill Murry’s new film after Lost in Translation, Broken Flowers about him, an old guy going back through his ex-girlfriends looking for his son. Seem like a nice slow drama. Noble and I were just discussing how now days, films don’t use enough Long shots and every cut is like under 5 sec. IT seems like only in these indie films can we see these slow dramatic shots that just makes things look more real, more serious.

Noble finds the weirdest things online, like this article about mobsters fire-bombing a cult building, built around a giant teapot. and this story about Ukrainian vampire that drags kids into her house to suck their blood. Yes, Noble finds a lot of weird stuff. He either surfs a lot, or he’s been piling up the load of weird article due to his internet downtime. That or his RPG net fame just lands him cultists that send him links of weirdness. But then he does get credits for finding this: ,a href="http://www.blackfilm.com/20041203/features/fs_underworldevolution.shtml">Hawt pictures of Kate Beckinsale in U2.

On the musical front, the Wang has really enjoyed marking Audiography as a friend community in LJ. It has introduced the Wang to a plethora of music. As a late comer to this whole music scene it is nice to have a nice outlet to sample music. LJ’s community, Audiography’s posters would throw out a theme every week, and every one would introduce a few songs that follows the theme of the week. This week’s theme is “non-fiction," songs inspired by real events. Most of the songs are about the artists actual experiences, or real historical events. Who knows what other cool LJ community are out there.

And… how the hell do u cheat on this?! that nanny must be hot…

And one last beam up for Scotty!

He wanted his ashes to be sent to space.

Thankyou Hollywood for ur crap!

So another busy day of work has lead the Wang to come to one conclusion. The Wang needs to be filthy rich to support our blogging habbits. That or work for a job that involve searching the web for funny videos to share to the Wang-viewers. But either way until that happens, the Wang will have to juggle the business world and the webbing world and all the time in the middle playing video games. So we get to the good juicy bits of the web that help us poor cubicle souls get through the day.

First of, since the long hours in the office, the Wang has been missing out on those nice nice hipster filled music events. But the recent discovery of this Live Journal community, Audiography has been a treasure trove of music. Each week, community members would pick a theme and then everyone and their mother will start posting songs. Great way to open ur mind and ears too all sotrt of music. Of course another great support for the recent web trend, yousendit.com. Which is a new online service that allows everyone to host a lot of files. Also on the music front, we get the 12 hottest Female guitar players EVAR! The Wang does have a hard spot for Ms. Phair.

Two interesting articles came to the Wang, the first related to the canceled shuttle launch today, is a article from Wired that has an cool interview with James Cameron on his views of space exploration.

The last time humans crossed space to a destination was the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. In the 32 years since, no man has seen, with his own eyes, Earth as that beautiful, solitary blue sphere, and - reality check - no woman has ever seen it at all. We've been only to low Earth orbit since 1972, and from that altitude of 220 miles, looking at the 7,900-mile-diameter Earth is like peering at a basketball with your cheek pressed against it. Yes, you'll see curvature, but you're not seeing the whole thing. We've spent 32 years "exploring space" in low Earth orbit. Exploring nothing. To stay in orbit you have to go 17,000 mph, or Mach 25. So we've spent three decades going nowhere fast.

It's taken people a long time to wake up to this fact, but we finally have. Now Exploration with a capital E is in the air again, in what will hopefully become some kind of renaissance. Eleven billion hits to NASA's Web site during the Spirit and Opportunity rovers' exploration of Mars is an astounding groundswell of support. NASA is still blinking in surprise, trying to figure out why people love the rovers yet care less about the construction of the International Space Station than a new interchange outside Cleveland. It is only now sinking in that one is exploration and the other is, well construction.

Second of the cool articles today is something the Wang read from LA Weekly a few days back, film critic for the Weekly, Nikki Finke wrote this cool article on 12 things she would do save the film industry this summer. Some good idea, the basics is to do the exact opposite of whats not working right now. U'd think an idea like that is simple, but then... this is hollywood we r talking about, i mean come on, Road house 2??!? And the news that Scarlet Johansson wanting to to do a nude scene for The Island but was rejected by Michael Bay. I mean whats is wrong with u Bay!? now u have offically gain the Wrath of Wang.

But on the otherend of hollywood, this Steve Martin movie, Shopgirl trailer does seem to have some hope in the indie genre.

And also on the movie front, the Thighmaster has given us one reason to watch the next Texas Chainsaw movie, Mrs Wang, Jordana Brewster will be in it. She dont know it yet, but after Rachel Weisz slummed her self to marry some other guy, Jordana is the Mrs Wang of choice.

The otherthings that has been plagueing the Wang's time is World of Warcraft. A recent update has sucked the Wang back into long hours of hard, sweat-filled, intense hours of PC gaming. But the recent we mention this time-sink is the introduction of PlayOn, a nice website from the Palo Alto Research Center, that is similar to Terra Nova, hvy into the Science of MMOs. But PlayOn seems to be focus specifically on data mining for WOW right now. The lastest bit of info is average hr per class to lvl. But i guess this is pretty useless and boring stuff if u dont play the game. But for those who do, this stuff is like the stats on the superbowl teams.

Cosplayers can now by the Chun Li breast Enhancement
. So they too can slut it up and look like a Chinese martial art girl with big breasts.

Instead of the usualy video, we give u some Napolean Dynamite inspired, Dancing Geeks. Thanksyou Hollywood for ur trend setting ways.

The missing Wang

| |

Its beeen awhile, and the Wang has been busy going in and out. There has been a lot of work stuff that has prevented the old surfing and blogging during work hours. But oh well I guess its all about time management. Last week was the nice follow up to a party-filled birthday weekend, but this week is the apex of nothing-ness, and no Atreyu to fight it off for me. (on that note, how come IMDB don’t have a page for the US version of Neverending story? What hell is Unendliche Geschichte, Die?) Anyways, I think the Wang has finally come to a nice point in the Wang-home and getting stuff to fill the garage like the Wang-bike and Wang-basket balls. Now the Wang-home is all Wangy, and rdy for Wanging.

So lets starts with a massive load of stuff that the Wang has been saving up in the last few days. First of we have some Chinese dancers doing some sort of large stage dance with more arms than Devi.

Due to the Wang’s busy schedule, the Wang has been missing out on the fine scene of the hipster underground. I’ve been missing out on good music and hot women. So for those who missed those fine indie/hipster scene I give u the
Visual Hipster icon dictionary and the Dos and Don’ts from Viceland. Not the best Dos and Donts but this picture is quite eye catching of Toronto girls wearing interesting outfits and holding each other.

If you thought the iPod shuffle is small, check out the iPod Flea commercial.

Or the Hummer 3 commercial.

Or this odd commercial for Norwegian Airlines that proves what you see isn’t always what you get.

Or how about this little flash animation, The Duel.

Of course we all heard of the events in London last thur. But here are some Flickr London galleries after the tragedies last week. But the british stand strong with cool stuff like warenotaraid.com

And speaking of the UK, even their kids are cooler then us, British school kids during Clockwork Orange as a school play.

On to hotter topics, this research about premature ejaculation gives us the cool statistic that on average, most man only last 7.3 min, and PE people last 1.8 min.

This of course leads us to the cool Wired article about the research into the female orgasm. called The Coming Boom.

And of course talks of all this sex leads to video game orgies, which has nothing to do with sex, but more to do with geeky guys all cramped into a room playing with their computers.

The Impossible Soccer Field.

In the end, I give u Jesus-I-Joe, our only salvation!

This has been a fun 3-day weekend in the honor of our country. It being my birthday is also a nice way to round in a 3day weekend. Not too mention this weekend was filled with good friends, good food, good games, good gifts and good fun. Only thing missing was some good women. Not that none of my friends r female, just don’t work in that illogical hormonal way. The nights was lit by the fire blossoms of my people and not the flashing of destructions in the stars. The Wang is a creature of the night, especially in that getting up before 3p is hard kind of way, we (Wang-friends and I) prowled the virtual streets Stormwind and kicked orc arse. And between virtual debaucheries, we hopped between the fine eateries of SoCal and home parties of other Wang-friends. And remember Jaeger and Tequila don’t mix cause it made the Wang feel like this all day yesterday.

A bulk of our time was spent playing World of Warcraft, well not enough of it. But the Wang-friends gathered like the computer geeks of old and LAN-partied a Online MMO game. Which if u understand is stupid. But Wow is famous for many things, Achtung Baby! Brings us info on the movie/book references in WoW Also a link to a article that may explain why The Chappelle show has been delayed for soo long, He probably checked into that Chinese clinic for video gaming. The Wang-friends are definetly not addicted, we can stop when ever we want. AND dotn u be 12-stepping me here! WoW is cool just check out the Asian style advertising with Coke commercials involving the S.H.E. girls. See hot girls do love video games!! On the note of WoW, Blizzard has decided to do a BlizzCon. Not much info is out cpet that it will be on Oct. 28 & 29th 2005 in O.C.. Check out the blizzard site for more info. Maybe they can get Mischa Barton to dress up like a Night Elf… Then, that would most definitely require a visit from the Wang. We can geek it out like 2004, when the Wang did the Galaxies Fanfest thing. Who knew the OC is a gaming Mecca for Cons and cosplayers. Again, 2 thumbs up for Mischa as a Night Elf.

Still the Wang-friend aint as geeky as this guy.

And just incase u forgot, Jessica Alba = still hot and Fantastic Four still looks like crap.

Canon Japan was nice enough to make this Digital Camera guide for us non-professionals. Even though a little late, but here’s a guide for u to shoot < a href="http://www.lifehacker.com/software/digital-photos/how-to-photograph-fireworks-110921.php">fireworks. Maybe u can use it for new years.
