So the Wang was mostly detained last week by the cuteness of a Veronica Mars. Who is Veronica Mars? Well Ms. Mars is the main character of the UPN show Veronica Mars. This show is best described as a cross between Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, the O.C. and some sort of modern day Nancy Drew novel. First off the show seems like its some sort of high school, saved by the bell comedy. But after the pilot one quickly learns that this show deals with stories that targets a little older… perhaps college age, or really mature high-schooler. Being detached from the high school scene, the Wang has no idea of the maturity lvl of kids these days. But I have on good authority that kids, are... well dumb for the most part. Specially now days, being sheltered pampered… I remember when the Wang used to hike 6 miles each way in the snow in Hawaii, and we liked it. But anyways, it is a decent show in the current age of reality TV crap. It has very matured themes and story plots for kids. And deals with some great kid issues like popularity, school work, friends, family and sex/violence. Ever since the Zombie Queen handed me this “Veronicrack", the Wang found himself glued to the LCD screen at 4am in the morning on a work night. Not that the Wang isn’t normally glued to the LCD screen for some sort of MMO gaming. But still in a sea of mediocre TV shows, the Wang found watching Veronica Mars reminded me of the old days of watching Buffy. Cause clearly there’s a void of witty blonde girls on TV. Overall the Wang is entertained, and will continue to follow the upcoming season of Veronica Mars season 2, which starts 9/28 on UPN. The Veronica Mars season 1 DVDs will be out in Oct. I think… Though this is no great work of TV masterpiece, still its cute, its entertaining, and its always nice to watch a show about smart witty high school kids… cause u know, they r normally quite dumb.
Plus if really helps that Veronica Mars, played by Kristin Bell is “cute as a button."
